MGIT Electrical Engineering Department Conducts Successful Workshop on Transformer Fabrication

The Electrical Engineering Department of Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT) recently organized a one-day hands-on workshop on transformer fabrication for its students. The workshop, held on March 25, 2023, at Physitech Power Systems Pvt Ltd, was attended by 32 III Year II semester students who were introduced to the world of transformer fabrication by A Visweswara Prasad, Managing Director of Physitech Power Systems Pvt Ltd.

The workshop aimed to provide a practical learning experience to the students by bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. The students were given a brief introduction to the basics of transformer fabrication, including its components, types, and applications, followed by a demonstration of the fabrication process. The students were then divided into groups and given the opportunity to work on their own transformer fabrication project, with guidance from the trainer.

The workshop was interactive, and the students were encouraged to ask questions and clarify their doubts. The feedback session at the end of the workshop showed that the students had gained a better understanding of transformer fabrication and appreciated the trainer’s knowledge and teaching style. Overall, the workshop was a success and left a lasting impact on the students’ minds.
